Early spring can be the launchpad for new projects and ideas.  Our March session showcased many sparkling sets and projects.

Despite the diversity of topics and approaches for this session, some loose connections can be made.

Wet weather formed a connection between the images presented by Wendy Allard and Maddy Pennock whilst Alex Isaacs and Bob Green preferred a decidedly non-representational and a more abstract approach to their work.

Buildings and their function, whether it be the distinctly quotidian, their contents or ecclesiastical, formed a thread between four presentations:: ‘The Klinik’ by Darren Leeson, a decaying filling station by Bob Oakley, a ‘graveyard for dummies’ revealed by David Hall and more adventures ‘Behind the Altar’ from Clive Haynes.

Tessa Mills and Tricia Sandford brought together sets of personal reflections, whilst Sue Biggart’s eloquent set mused upon the final days of a deteriorating daffodil.

The visually arresting and distinctive set by Tej Kaushal steadfastly stood alone as he explored the all-devouring ‘viewfinder.

Our two ‘Outside Sources’ this month both featured multiple-exposure as a means of personal expression.

Ian Turnage-Butterbaugh perused extreme multiple exposure photography using film cameras using techniques he’s specifically developed.

Vaune Trachman brought together photos taken by her father in 1930s Germany together with her present day associations.
