Tuesday 7th PHIL SAVOIE - "Up Your Photography"

Phil says: I’m a biologist, photographer and filmmaker. I joined the BBC Natural History Unit in 1994 as a producer/director/cameraman. For a photography obsessed biologist being able to travel the world shooting animal behaviour was a dream come true. As the first self shooting NHU filmmaker I’m privileged to have my work included on a range of projects from global blockbusters to self-authored films including Planet Earth, Life of Mammals, Deep Jungle, Congo, Wild Africa, Life in the Undergrowth and the Natural World series. Honoured with BAFTA, EMMY and CINE noms & nods including Outstanding Individual Achievement in Cinematography from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. My still photography is published worldwide and has been recognised by the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Now freelance with years of visual media experience from early days picture editing National Geographic staff to testing the lenses and cameras used for Planet Earth. I’m an enthusiastic public speaker and enjoy sharing my passion..

Tuesday 14th DAVID BOAG - "The World of a Wildlife Photographer"

From David's website: "This entertaining lecture spans 35 years of photography and takes us to 5 continents. The questions I am most often asked relate to how I began - the commissions I have undertaken and the 18 books I have had published. Also how I work and my views on equipment. On the surface it follows the course of my career however, it is actually designed to be an encouraging inspiration for every level of photographer."
