Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update

After careful consideration it has been decided to cancel the remainder of the current season at WCC - both Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Members will be kept informed of further changes via email.

We hope that you will still be able to enjoy your photography during this period. Our Flickr Group is still active if you would like to share work during the closedown, or join members on Facebook.

Welcome to Worcestershire Camera Club

Whilst the programme has regretfully been cancelled for the rest of the season, you can still find plenty of information and photography on our website. Perhaps look through your back catalogue to see what images you can work on for competitions next year or have a go at making an AV. You can also send information to be included in our newsletter 'Photonews' or make a header image to be shown on this website

Worcestershire Camera Club is a friendly club aiming to encourage the enjoyment and practice of photography. We hope our varied programme of talks and events will offer something for everyone to enjoy whether you're a novice just starting out or a qualified professional. Our new season starts in September but, for Club Members, our special interest groups continue during the summer.

There's a wealth of information on the website, but if you're new to the club take a look at our weekly club magazine, Photonews for a taste of what we get up to. The Club  meets on Tuesday evenings during the season, September to May, with 3 specialist interest groups meeting on Thursdays throughout the year. You can find out more about joining the club by visiting this page...

Programme of Zoom meetings

Until further notice, Worcestershire Camera Club will be running its programme online. The meetings listed below will be presented on Zoom and will start at 19:30, unless otherwise stated. Members will receive emails with details of the meetings. In case of difficulties accessing these online meetings, please contact the Zoom Host.

Tuesday 5th Guy Edwardes - Seeing the Light: Landscape (Zoom Host: Eric Williams. Meeting Host: Colin Nash)

25 Years of Landscape Photography Techniques

This presentation will include around 150 images, most of which have been taken over the last three years. The images help to illustrate some of the methods I used to capture my favourite landscape photographs. Techniques such as shooting landscapes with long telephoto lenses, bracketing for dynamic range and focus-stacking will be included. I also touch on some of the techniques I use in post-processing. This presentation is all about tips and advice so you can be sure to learn something new and will hopefully be inspired to get out there with your camera to experiment for yourself.
